Published Fri, 21 Feb 2025 18:20:19 GMT

The Supreme Court of Canada recently ruled Bill C-69 – also known as the “no more pipelines law” – unconstitutional. The reversal of this intrusive legislation is a real victory for Alberta. But it’s also a victory for all provinces. He realized it wasn’t just bad for Alberta, but a threat to the economic wellbeing of all provinces and regions. His government was instrume...

Patino was accused of stabbing and killing his wife and son and injuring his other son. Get the latest news, weather, sports and entertainment delivered right to your inbox! The jury took about a day to deliberate, asking multiple questions about the definition of intent, which was key in this case. Throughout the trial, Michael McDermott, Patino’s defense attorney, relied on his claim that Patino suffered from COVID-19-induced psychosis and that he did not know the gravity of his actions. The prosecution disputed that claim with testimony that showed that COVID-induced psychosis is not proven and that Patino showed no signs of mental illness before or immediately after the crime.
